I just came from Helsinki and the Truly Digital 3rd conference. It was great to hear about exciting Nordic projects, ideas and thoughts about cultural projects in the digital domain. I spoke about digital publication. (I am teaching a course in Digital Text Production this semester. We will produce projects using platforms/software such as Adobe InDesign, Mag+, Zeega, Issuu, Kindle, and Apple iBooks Author.)
Next up is ISMAR 2013 in Adelaide, Australia. I am participating in two panels on AR and aesthetics, as well as chairing sessions in the Arts, Humanities and Media-track.
In November I have been invited to give a keynote at the Literature, Media, Sound conference at Aarhus University. Looks like a great event! I am really excited to hear the presenters. I will talk about a series of iPad works and the challenges of new interactions, genres and soundscapes in mobile media environments.
In December I will talk at a symposium on Keith Haring and then spend a couple of weeks at Georgia Tech and AEL to finalize AR mobile narrative projects with Michael Joyce and Jay Bolter.
